Job summary

Service Foods in Tauranga is seeking a dedicated Class 2 Delivery Driver to join the Tauranga branch, based in Tauriko. You will deliver a wide range of food products, maintain high safety and customer service standards, and support the team on daily tasks.

The role requires a NZ Class 2 licence, safe driving, and strong reliability. You will work Monday to Saturday with hours between 5:00 am and 3:00 pm, and assist with picking/packing when needed.

Qualifications

• A NZ Class 2 Driver Licence and ability to drive manual vehicles.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a dedicated Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our Tauranga branch, based in Tauriko.

Position Snapshot

• Immediate start
• Permanent, full-time position
• Days of work: Monday to Saturday
• Rostered hours between 5:00 am and 3:00 pm (finish time may vary)

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of food products to customers throughout Tauranga and Te Moana-a-Toi (Bay of Plenty) while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

This is a safety-sensitive role requiring a strong commitment to safe driving practices, health and safety procedures, and professional behaviour at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 delivery trucks to transport goods
• Load and unload products, ensuring they are handled and transported securely
• Deliver customer orders accurately and on time
• Maintain delivery records and documentation
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Service Foods brand professionally
• Comply with all road safety, transport, and traffic regulations
• Report vehicle faults or maintenance issues promptly and refuel vehicles as needed
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, including oil and coolant levels, WOF, tyres, and general roadworthiness
• Wash and clean vehicles as required
• Assist with picking and packing orders when required

What We’re Looking For

• A full New Zealand Class 2 Driver Licence and confidence driving manual vehicles
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of Tauranga and Bay of Plenty (preferred)
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• A reliable, flexible, and detail-focused approach to work
• A clean driving record and clean criminal record
• Previous New Zealand driving and delivery experience
• Basic knowledge of food products and ingredients

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role involving regular lifting of up to 20 kgs, loading and unloading deliveries, repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, and twisting, and extended periods of driving, standing, walking, and manual handling. Applicants should be comfortable with the physical nature of the role and able to safely perform its inherent requirements.

Applicants must have New Zealand citizenship, residency, or a valid New Zealand work visa.
