Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
• Strong observational and analytical skills; problem-solving aptitude.
• Willingness to work in field and office; commitment to safe work practices.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa; full NZ Driver Licence or ability to obtain.
• Experience with GIS or geological modelling advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Bathurst's health, safety and environmental excellence.
• Assist geological and geotechnical field investigations across mining and rehabilitation sites.
• Undertake geological mapping, core sample logging and site inspections.
• Collect, compile and interpret geological and geotechnical data.
• Assist slope stability assessments and ground hazard identification.
• Support monitoring programmes and interpretation of monitoring results.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, geological models and project documentation.
• Contribute to mine planning, rehabilitation and resource development studies.
• Work closely with operations, environmental and technical teams to provide practical geological advice.
