Stantec is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer (Power) in New Zealand. You’ll work with experienced engineers on electrical projects and gain hands-on experience across the project lifecycle.

This is a 2‑year graduate development programme with a base salary of NZD 74,000 plus benefits, including insurance and flexible working options. You’ll join a globally connected team across NZ and Australia.

Qualificações

• Must be a new graduate or expect to graduate in 2026 with an Electrical Engineering qualification or related field.
• As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to power engineering projects and learn across the project lifecycle.
• Eligibility includes completion before commencing employment (approx Jan–Feb 2027) and a clean driving licence if possible.

• Support preparation of electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, reports and presentations.

What you’ll do?

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects. You'll gain hands‑on experience across the project lifecycle while developing your technical, analytical, and professional skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is eager to learn, collaborate, and apply their university studies to real‑world engineering challenges.

Your Role

• Assist with the investigation, analysis, and design of electrical engineering systems and components.
• Perform engineering calculations using industry-standard and specialist software.
• Support the preparation of electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, reports, and presentations.
• Assist with developing electrical designs in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions
• Support construction‑phase activities, including reviewing contractor submissions, responding to technical queries, and assisting with design clarifications
• Undertake site visits and field work to gain practical project experience
• Contribute to a positive team culture while continuing to build your technical expertise and professional network

Eligibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar with expected completion before commencing employment. (Approx January – February 2027)
