Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join the Water Team in Wellington as part of our 2027 Graduate Programme, starting February 2027. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering water projects across New Zealand and gain exposure to water supply, wastewater, stormwater and modelling tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Graduation completed by February 2027
  • Full New Zealand working rights or eligibility to work in New Zealand

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a wide range of water projects across New Zealand
  • Gain exposure to water supply infrastructure, wastewater networks and treatment facilities, and stormwater management and flood resilience projects

About The Role

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a wide range of water projects across New Zealand.

You will gain exposure to:

  • Water supply infrastructure
  • Wastewater networks and treatment facilities
  • Stormwater management and flood resilience projects
  • Hydraulic modelling and analysis
  • Civil design and engineering assessments
  • Construction support and site investigationsDigital engineering and innovative water solutions

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, planners, modellers and project managers while developing your technical, commercial and consulting capabilities.
