Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Digger Operator to join a civil construction project in Lower Hutt. You will operate GPS-equipped excavators, maintain safety around underground services, and contribute to accurate level driving on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Current WTR endorsements.
• Experience operating GPS-equipped excavators.
• Experience around underground utilities and services.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently.
• Cut to level using GPS machine control.
• Work around live underground services.
• Read and interpret site plans and specifications.
• Carry out daily pre-start checks and basic equipment maintenance.
• Work closely with the site team to meet project deadlines.
