Job summary

Advanced Personnel Services – Hastings, North Island is seeking experienced Civil Digger Operators to join our civil clients in Hastings. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operators seeking steady work and competitive pay.

You will operate 25–30 tonne excavators on drainage and civil projects, read GPS systems, and collaborate with a professional civil team on active sites. A Class 2 licence with WTR, Site Safe certification, GPS experience, and a commitment to safety are required;

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience operating diggers/excavators.
• Current and valid Class 2 driver licence with WTR endorsement (Class 4 advantageous).
• Site Safe certification.
• Experience reading GPS.
• Some locating experience preferred.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operating 25–30 tonne excavators confidently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating 25–30 tonne excavators confidently
• Working on drainage and civil construction projects
• Reading and working with GPS systems
• Assisting with service locating when required
• Operating wheels, tractors, and rollers (WTR)
• Working as part of a professional civil team on active sites

What We’re Looking For

• At least one year of experience operating diggers/excavators
• Current and valid Class 2 driver licence with WTR endorsement (Class 4 advantageous)
• Site Safe certification
• Experience reading GPS
• Some locating experience preferred
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
• Ability to pass a drug test and conviction check
• Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays as required
• Schedule: 7:00am – 5:00pm
