Job summary

Snowy River Gold Mine in Reefton is seeking a Gold Room Operator to manage the Intensive Leach Reactor (ILR), smelting activities, and doré production. You will collaborate with the Processing Supervisor and Senior Metallurgist to maintain security, accuracy, and compliance across operations.

Applicants should have proven gold room or mineral processing experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work as part of a team. NZ residency or rights to work will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in gold room or mineral processing operations.
• Strong understanding of gold room security protocols.
• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to work.
• Commitment to safe work practices and teamwork.
• Current Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Intensive Leach Reactor (ILR) and undertake sampling activities.
• Conduct smelting and furnace operations to produce gold doré.
• Prepare calcine and fluxes for smelting.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting, and reconciliation data.
• Support processing operations as required.
• Work closely with processing and metallurgical teams.
• Promote strong safety, security, and environmental standards.
