Job summary

Talent Army is representing a high-growth New Zealand-founded technology company seeking a commercially minded lawyer to own legal matters across five global entities. You will collaborate with the CFO, CEO and executive team to handle commercial contracting, compliance, risk and governance while coordinating external counsel when specialist expertise is required.

This is a hands-on, highly commercial role.

Qualifications

• Around 3–5 years PQE; but growth mindset can fit broader levels
• Strong commercial contracting experience, ideally from a leading law firm or commercial environment
• Commercial mindset balancing legal risk with business objectives
• Comfortable working across contracts, compliance, governance, disputes and risk
• Genuine interest in technology and demonstrable day-to-day use of AI tools
• Experience in SaaS or tech preferred but not essential
• Proactive and excited to stretch beyond current level
• International travel experience is useful but not essential
