Job summary

Red Stag Timber in Rotorua is seeking reliable individuals to join our Secondary Processing team. Duties include timber handling, wrapping and strapping timber packets, recording packet information and tagging, and operating the latest automated timber stacking machinery.

We offer full training and a path to grow into a key operational role. Applicants should be physically fit, have a strong work ethic and be prepared for early starts; NZ residency is required for these roles.

Qualifications

• Duties require reliability, teamwork and diligence.
• Experience in timber industry is preferred but not required.
• A safety-first attitude is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Handle timber and assist with wrapping and strapping of timber packets.
• Record and tag packet information accurately.
• Operate automated timber stacking machinery.
• Place fillets as required during processing.

An opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the team. Duties include timber handling, wrapping and strapping, timber packet information recording and tagging, operating the latest in automated timber stacking machinery and fillet placing.

We are seeking keen & reliable candidates, who have the potential to grow to be a key operational staff member. Full training will be provided.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, starting at 5.00am until 3.40pm.

Preferred applicant will also have the following attributes:

• A proven work ethic that demonstrates reliability, team work and diligence
• Previous experience in the timber industry or manufacturing would be favourable; however a ‘safety first’ attitude is essential at Red Stag Timber
• Due to the nature of our work environment, candidates need to be physically able & fit

A pre-employment medical & drug test is a standard recruitment requirement.We also require two recent employer referee contact details to be provided.
