Job summary

ACCIONA in New Zealand is seeking a Lead Design Engineer - Geotechnical to provide technical leadership across planning, design and delivery of geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure projects in ANZ.

You will mentor engineers, manage multidisciplinary interfaces with clients and contractors, and ensure technically robust, safe and innovative outcomes from feasibility through construction in New Zealand and Australia.

Qualifications

Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant experience delivering complex geotechnical design solutions for major infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of foundations, earthworks, retaining structures and ground improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of geotechnical solutions across major infrastructure projects.
Direct complex geotechnical assessments, analysis and design activities.
Oversee the design of foundations, earthworks, retaining structures and slope stabilisation works.
Develop ground improvement strategies and provide guidance on construction methodologies.
Lead geotechnical investigations, interpretation of ground conditions and risk assessments.
Provide technical leadership and support during project delivery and construction phases.
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants and key project stakeholders.
Contribute to major tenders, methodologies and technical proposals.
Mentor and develop engineering talent within the business.
Drive technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across geotechnical disciplines.
