Job summary

Geotechnics Ltd is seeking pragmatic Laboratory & Field Technicians for an 8-month fixed-term contract on a major project based in Waihi, New Zealand. This role blends laboratory soil, aggregate and pavement testing with field investigations, supporting geotechnical and construction works.

Training is provided, previous lab or geotechnical experience is an advantage; you will record data accurately, operate testing equipment, and help ensure health and safety standards on site in varying

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test soil, aggregate and pavement samples (grading, moisture, compaction, CBR, plasticity).
• Accurately record results and maintain laboratory equipment and areas.
• Conduct field testing using Scala, NDM, Clegg and shear vane equipment.
• Assist with sampling, test pits, hand augering and site investigations.
• Travel to construction sites and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Follow standards, procedures and health and safety requirements with high accuracy.
