Job summary

Kirk Roberts Consulting Engineers Ltd in Tauranga seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and support project delivery across a varied pipeline. You will be involved from site investigations through to design, reporting and construction observations.

Collaborating with the Team Leader and Graduate Engineer, you will deliver high-quality geotechnical investigations, analysis and reporting, while mentoring others and helping us grow in the Bay of Plenty.

Qualifications

• BEng Civil or equivalent specialising in Geotechnical.
• Minimum of 5 years experience within New Zealand.
• Proven experience in shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, retaining structures, and ground improvement.
• A practical approach to problem solving and project delivery.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
• A willingness to get involved and support the wider team.
• Thrive on challenges and motivated to provide innovative solutions for our clients.
• Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver geotechnical investigations, analysis, design and reporting.
• Manage and contribute to residential and land development projects.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider project team.
• Get out on site for investigations, observations and construction inspections.
• Support and share knowledge with less experienced team members.
• Collaborate with Team Leader to deliver quality outcomes for clients.
• Contribute to the growth and capability of our Tauranga team.
