Job summary

Archway Recruitment is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer at an intermediate to senior level to join a well-regarded consultancy delivering geotechnical design and investigation work across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects in the Waikato region. Taupo office based or hybrid work available.

You will manage design and technical delivery, and contribute to the design of foundations, retaining walls, slope stability solutions, and ground improvements, working closely with clients,

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Geology with geotechnical design skills.
• 5+ years geotechnical experience (NZ experience essential).
• Strong technical design and site investigation skills.
• Confident working with clients and project partners.

Responsibilities

Join a well regarded consultancy delivering geotechnical design and investigation work across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout the Waikato region.

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer at intermediate to senior level, you'll manage design and technical delivery, and contribute to the design of foundations, retaining walls, slope stability solutions, and ground improvements.

You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective, practical outcomes. Projects range from small-scale assessments to complex foundation designs and retaining solutions.

About You

• A relevant tertiary qualification, ideally a BEng in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or a BS in Geology, with Geotechnical design skills
• 5+ years’ geotechnical experience (NZ experience essential)
• Strong technical design and site investigation skills
• Confident working with clients and project partners
