Job summary

Auckland City Hospital is seeking a Genetic Pathologist / Clinical Scientist / Fellow in Diagnostic Genetics to join our expanding team. You will work across germline and somatic genomics, contribute to teaching, supervision, and research, and help drive service development in a leading genomics program.

The role requires a medical doctor with postgraduate pathology qualifications and eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Pathologist.

Qualifications

• Medical doctor with postgraduate specialist qualification in Pathology and eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Pathologist.
• Overseas qualifications require source verification for NZ registration.
• Ideal candidate trained in Genetic Pathology or related genetic pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic genetics services in a hospital setting.
• Engage in teaching, supervision, research and leadership within the team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to development and expansion of the diagnostics service.
