Job summary

The Doctors Silverstream is inviting applications for a GP to join our close, committed team in the Hutt Valley/Upper Hutt region. This permanent role offers a mix of telehealth and onsite sessions with no individual patient load, supported by inbox and repeat prescription processes.

We welcome experienced vocationally registered GPs or those in training, and we provide support for NZ registration, continuing medical education, APC and indemnity insurance, to help you achieve a healthy work-life

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Experience as a GP or in vocational training pathway is preferred.
• Willing to work some evenings per regional roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare to a wide range of patients within the community.
• Work with the practice team including nurses and receptionists to deliver primary care.
• Participate in after-hours roster as required by the regional schedule.

The Doctors Silverstream

We provide a full family healthcare service to residents of Silverstream and the wider community in the Hutt Valley and Upper Hutt. We have 10,000 registered patients and are in growth phase which has prompted us to seek suitable candidates to add to our very stable team of GPs. Conveniently located in a shopping area near the local commuter rail station, we are open five days a week, and extended hours most evenings. With our team of GPs, practice nurses, and receptionists, and a wide range of additional services available in the centre or just nearby, we provide complete primary health care under one roof. We are a Cornerstone, RNZCGP quality accredited, and teaching practice (GP Registrars) practice. Telehealth Services are also available!

About the position and you:

You will bring to the role:

• Sound clinical and service skills enabling you to fully utilize your experience
• Ability to provide healthcare to a full range of people in our community
• Hold or be eligible for Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand

This is a permanent position with negotiable hours, preferably working 8sessionsper week. You will be required to work some evenings in accordance with the shared regional after-hours roster.
