Job summary

ADHD Simple, based in New Zealand, offers calm, thorough adult ADHD assessments with no nights, weekends or on-call and long appointment times to enable proper evaluation.

We are expanding our team and invite vocationally registered GPs to join, work from home or our clinics nationwide, and contribute to integrated, patient‑centred care with strong support from psychiatrists and nurse practitioners.

Qualifications

• Registered GP with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Current practising certificate.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
• Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental health.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a telehealth environment.
• Previous ADHD experience welcomed but not essential.

General practice without the treadmill. No more than four patients a day, one specialty, and no nights, weekends or on-call — with the assessment and treatment pathways already built.

The Opportunity

ADHD Simple was created because we saw first-hand how difficult it could be for adults to access timely ADHD assessment and treatment. We believe accessing ADHD assessment and treatment should be straightforward, timely, and centred on the patient.

ADHD Simple is one of New Zealand’s largest dedicated adult ADHD services, bringing together an experienced team of Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, General Practitioners and support staff with a shared goal of making life with ADHD, simple.

Demand for adult ADHD services continues to grow rapidly. To maintain our commitment to providing assessment and treatment within weeks, we are expanding our team and looking for General Practitioners to join us. Whether you already have experience in ADHD care or are looking to develop a special interest in this rapidly growing area, there is a place for you here.

What You Will Do

As a GP with ADHD Simple, you’ll:

• Conduct comprehensive adult ADHD assessments
• Diagnose ADHD and develop treatment plans
• Initiate and optimise ADHD medications
• Manage prescribing, treatment monitoring, and associated clinical documentation
• Work closely with our multidisciplinary team

No more than four patients a day, on average. Appointments are long enough to do the assessment properly, and every person on your list is there for one thing — so you are practising to depth rather than switching specialty every fifteen minutes.
