Job summary

Te Hau o Te Ora Invercargill invites applications from General Practitioners to join our small, community-focused practice in our new building. Enrollment is around 1,500 patients, with a supportive team including nurses, health practitioners and administration, all dedicated to equity and high-quality care.

Te Hau o Te Ora Invercargill is a small practice with 1,500 enrolled patients. The practice is supported by a highly skilled workforce including Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Health Improvement Practitioner, Health Coach and a large administrative team.

The team is dedicated to addressing health equity and improving health outcomes for all patients and whānau. Ensuring the best care and support is available, your work will be rewarding!

We are seeking General Practitioners to join our team at Te Hau o Te Ora Invercargill.

What you will bring:

• Strong cultural confidence and competence, keeping whānau at the centre of care provided.
• An understanding of the socio-economic and cultural determinants of health.
• Be self-motivated and independent yet thrive in a collaborative environment.
• An in-depth knowledge of and passion for primary health care.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• A current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand & CPR certificate.
• Prior experience with Medtech Evolution desired but not essential.
