Qualifications
- Fellowship or equivalent in gastroenterology is required.
- Specialist accreditation in gastroenterology recognised by the NZ gastroenterology body.
- Hold or be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with Internal Medicine scope.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred gastroenterology care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient services and support general medical colleagues.
- Conduct gastroenterology clinics and perform diagnostic and endoscopic procedures.
- Contribute to service development and continued improvement within the department.
