Qualifications

• Holding FRACP and NZGESA accreditation is required.
• Annual Practising Certificate with appropriate vocational scope.
• General Internal Medicine background is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a provincial hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred care across gastroenterology conditions.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient services and support general medical colleagues.
• Conduct gastroenterology clinics and perform diagnostic and endoscopic procedures.
• Contribute to service development and continued improvement.

Education

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)

Specialist accreditation in gastroenterology (NZGESA-recognised)

Annual Practising Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine

Trained in General Internal Medicine (preferred)

Ability to work independently in a provincial hospital setting
