Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato invites a Specialist Gastroenterologist to join Waikato Hospital’s largest gastroenterology service in the Central North Island.

In this role you’ll contribute to clinics, endoscopy and ward duties, participate in the on-call roster, and support teaching and research activities.

We welcome specialists with hepatology or general gastroenterology interests and a strong commitment to patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Possess specific clinical skills in endoscopic procedures.
• Vocationally registered with the New Zealand Medical Council (or qualifications comparable to NZ).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to clinics, endoscopy and ward duties, and participate in the on-call roster.
• Engage in teaching, ongoing medical education and quality improvement initiatives.
