Job summary

Citycare Property is seeking a Labourer/Trainee (Gardening) to help maintain gardens and outdoor spaces for NZ Defence Force personnel at Burnham Military Camp. No experience needed; we provide training, mentoring, and support to develop practical horticulture skills and build a long-term career in grounds maintenance.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. A Full Class 1 licence is preferred, and candidates must have the right to work in New Zealand and meet NZDF security requirements.

Qualifications

• Interest in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Enjoy physical outdoor work.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Able to meet NZDF security requirements.
• Right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, and garden maintenance.
• Supporting grounds and landscape maintenance activities.
• Learning to safely use horticultural tools and equipment.
• Working alongside experienced team members.
• Following health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Interacting professionally with NZDF personnel, contractors, and site users.
