Are you an experienced Gardener who takes pride in creating beautiful, welcoming outdoor spaces?
Working on behalf of Whangārei District Council, you’ll help maintain and enhance parks and reserves across the district. From controlling invasive plants to improving garden presentation and plant health, your work will help create public spaces the community can enjoy.

Maintain gardens, parks and reserves to a high standard
Control weeds and invasive plant species
Support planting and garden improvement programmes
Monitor plant health and complete general horticultural tasks
Work independently and manage your daily schedule

Horticultural qualification or relevant industry experience
Full Class 1 Driver Licence
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and manage your workload
Commitment to health, safety and continuous learning
Legal right to work in Aotearoa and ability to meet pre-employment requirements
