Job summary

Henderson Intermediate in West Auckland is seeking an enthusiastic Scale A teacher to join our supportive staff in 2027. The role covers primary/intermediate years 1–8, delivering a broad range of subjects including English, mathematics and science, and fostering inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments.

You will build strong relationships with ākonga, whānau and colleagues, manage learning and behaviour positively, and bring energy and collaboration to our team.

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ teaching certification.

• demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and current pedagogical best practice
• is an effective communicator who builds high-trust, collaborative relationships with staff, ākonga and whānau
• drives team planning
• models outstanding classroom practice and positive behavior management while prioritizing student achievement and well-being.
