Job summary

Vs Group of Enterprises Limited in Port Charmer Dunedin is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily operations and lead the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality products. You will drive sales, manage staff, budgeting and supplier relations in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, a passion for customer satisfaction, and the ability to implement policies to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• You will have a tertiary level qualification or at least two years of relevant work experience in supervisory/management roles.
• Be able to work long hours and during public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage the overall operations of the store.
• Lead the team independently and supervise the staff for smooth routine operations of the business.
• Manage the daily operations of the store.
• Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, rostering, training and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Monitor and analyse sales and financial data.
• Practice excellent communication skills with staff, management and customers.
• Manage finances, including budgeting, cash handling and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, and negotiate contracts and pricing.
• Implement marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
• Strategically plan the growth of business at local level ensuring maximum regular casual customer at the store.
• Introduce and implement new and innovative ideas to generate revenue.

Your Leadership will be crucial in maintaing a welcoming environment and upholding the store's reputation for excellence .
35 to 40 hours of work are guaranteed for per week

Your Key responsibilities will be to :

• Provide direction to shift staff to acheive the store goals .


• Provide coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on a ongoing basis


• Ensure store meets health and safety and cleanliness standards

• Stocktake periodically and to check for difference in physical stock in books.


• Make policies and checks to minimise stock expiry and wastage and to minimize the difference between physical stock at store and stock levels .

Key Requirments :

• You will have a teritary level qualification or at leaset two years of relevant work experience in supervisory /management roles .


• Be able to work long hours and during public holidays as required .


• You will be given 35 hours minimum guaranteed hours per week . Remuneration will be $35 to $36 per hour depending on your experience .
