Job summary

Smith's Mitre 10 MEGA in Christchurch is hiring for a full-time Drive Thru team member. You will assist both trade professionals and DIY customers with timber and building materials, and you’ll load orders safely and efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

This hands-on role requires a friendly, reliable team player who can lift and move materials, with opportunities to obtain forklift certification and progress within a locally owned, recognised NZ retail brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or trade environments is preferred.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence is required.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification/F Endorsement when trained.

Responsibilities

• Assist trade and retail customers with timber and building materials.
• Pick, prepare and load customer orders safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a tidy, well-presented Drive Thru area.
• Work with other store departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Develop product knowledge to provide expert advice.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment once trained and licensed.
