Job summary

Smartly, a Datacom Company, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to contribute to our Smartly Payroll System in New Zealand. You’ll work on both front-end and back-end tasks, delivering features across the stack and helping shape scalable software for 20,000+ clients.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years delivering IT projects, strong C#/.NET and modern front-end skills (HTML/JS/CSS/React or Razor). Azure cloud exposure is a bonus, and you’ll thrive in a collaborative, innovative fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT projects across the SDLC.
• Recent C# .NET experience with at least 2 years.
• Experience with web front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React or ASP.NET Razor).
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID, and OOP.
• Knowledge of Git for configuration management.
• Familiarity with service-oriented frameworks.
• Able to implement features, unit tests, and fix complex bugs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Public cloud exposure (Azure) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day delivery of assigned work, clarify feature ambiguity, manage tasks, support releases and production verification.
• Contribute to team delivery by providing input on effort, risks, blockers, and progress.
• Support testing, code reviews, safe-change practices, and maintainability, security, performance.
