Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a capable Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test and support secure web, mobile and cloud-based applications for health research projects.

The role covers frontend and backend work, with collaboration across stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital products. The 24-month fixed-term contract offers a dynamic, security-conscious environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience in a Full Stack Development role.
• Experience with modern frameworks such as React or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud-based development, ideally within AWS environments.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control tools such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites, web applications, PWAs, mobile applications and AWS cloud-based solutions.
• Design and build RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party systems.
• Implement responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces.
• Support software testing, troubleshooting and defect resolution activities.
• Ensure applications meet quality, security and accessibility standards.
• Produce clear technical documentation and user guides.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
