Job summary

Allied Petroleum Ltd is seeking a Class 5 Driver to join the Dunedin team, operating a rostered 5-day, day shift with occasional overnight and Saturday deliveries across the Central Otago region, based out of Dunedin.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ Class 5 experience, pride in presentation, and strict adherence to safety procedures and company SOPs. Training will be provided as needed.

• Follow Allied Petroleum safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain professional presentation and vehicle cleanliness.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Class 5 Driver to join our team in Dunedin driving a rostered 5-day, day shift week, with the occasional overnight and Saturday delivering fuel to commercial and farm customers around the greater Central Otago region area, based out of Dunedin.

You must have a minimum of 3 years of Class 5 experience, take pride in your personal presentation and your equipment. As we work in a safety-sensitive role, you will need to ensure that you're vigilant in following our standard operating procedures as well as adhering to our safety rules and policies.

The successful applicant would be required to undertake the following tasks on a day-to-day basis:

• Maintain communication with Fleet Operations
• Understand and follow APL defensive driving principles;
• Ensure trucks and tankers are kept clean and tidy to set standards;
• Ensure vehicles driven carry all documentation required by law;
• Follow set procedures for pre-shift checks, loading, driving, and unloading

Previous fuel experience would be advantageous but full fuel industry training will be provided to the successful applicant.
