Job summary

Our client in Invercargill, New Zealand is seeking two reliable Loader Operators for day and night shifts on a rotating roster. You'll operate heavy machinery, load products, and support production with basic maintenance while adhering to safety policies.

The role offers 12-hour shifts, weekend work when vessels discharge, and an opportunity to develop skills in a hands-on, busy site environment. A forklift licence is highly desirable and pre-employment drug tests apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a front-end loader is essential.
• Forklift experience and a current forklift licence (or the ability to obtain one) is desirable.
• Mechanically minded with the ability to identify when machinery is not operating as it should.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end loader to move and load product.
• Operate a forklift as required.
• Screen product to meet quality standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance including greasing equipment and completing daily pre-start checks.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential mechanical issues before they become problems.
• Perform general labouring duties, including shovelling product and sweeping work areas.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
