Job summary

Our client in Invercargill, New Zealand is seeking two reliable Loader Operators for day and night shifts on a rotating roster. You'll operate heavy machinery, load products, and support production with basic maintenance while adhering to safety policies.

The role offers 12-hour shifts, weekend work when vessels discharge, and an opportunity to develop skills in a hands-on, busy site environment. A forklift licence is highly desirable and pre-employment drug tests apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a front-end loader is essential.
• Forklift experience and a current forklift licence (or the ability to obtain one) is desirable.
• Mechanically minded with the ability to identify when machinery is not operating as it should.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end loader to move and load product.
• Operate a forklift as required.
• Screen product to meet quality standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance including greasing equipment and completing daily pre-start checks.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential mechanical issues before they become problems.
• Perform general labouring duties, including shovelling product and sweeping work areas.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.

Our client is looking for two reliable and hardworking Loader Operators to join their team. We have one Day Shift position and one Night Shift position available, working 6:00am – 6:00pm or 6:00pm – 6:00am on a rotating roster.

This is a hands-on role that offers plenty of variety. You'll be operating heavy machinery, supporting production, carrying out basic maintenance, and assisting with general site duties. There may also be opportunities for additional weekend work when vessels are in port and product is being discharged.
