Jora New Zealand in Napier, Hawke's Bay, is seeking an experienced Forklift Technician to join a well-established materials handling company. You will service, diagnose, and repair forklifts and mobile equipment, contributing to safe operations and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience servicing and repairing forklifts or similar mobile equipment.
• Qualified automotive trade required.
• Clean, current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Repairs and component replacements.
• Attending breakdowns and field service work.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

The role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of materials handling equipment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Repairs and component replacements
• Attending breakdowns and field service work
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

Skills sought

• Relevant automotive trade qualification, preferably as a diesel technician

• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
