Job summary

ZIWI Limited is seeking an experienced forklift operator for its Awatoto site to support daily stock movement in our cold environment. The role involves receiving inwards goods, storage, container loading and dispatch, with -5°C to -12°C conditions and 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will work closely with Warehouse, Logistics and Production teams, using ABEL WMS and on-board scanning. A current NZ OSH forklift licence and attention to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years proven experience operating forklifts.
• Put-away and order-picking with on-board forklift scanning & WMS.
• Cold-chain, food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Current OSH forklift licence.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Good written and arithmetic literacy.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Capable of lifting to 20 kg and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Handle product and rack with on-board scanning and ABEL WMS.
• Deliver pallets to production staging via ABEL WMS.
• Move pallets to maintain cold store capacity.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Complete cycle-counts, inventory and compliance checklists.

We are seeking an experienced forklift operator to assist with the day to day stock movement within our super kitchen at Awatoto.

You will work closely with the wider Warehouse, Logistics and Production teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site, including the cold store with temperatures ranging from -5°C to -12°C. This role works 45 hours per week across Monday to Friday.

You will take responsibility for receiving of inwards goods, product storage, container loading and dispatch of products from the loading docks. Experience using reach trucks is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• correctly handling product and accurately locating into racks using on-board scanning and ABEL WMS system.
• timely & accurate delivery of pallets to production staging area when requested via the ABEL WMS system.
• timely internal movements/transfers of pallets to maintain the cold store at optimum capacity.
• support a culture of continuous improvement within the workplace
• complete cycle-counts, inventory and compliance checklists to meet process controls.

Key requirements:

• minimum 3 years proven experience operating forklifts
• put-away and order-picking experience using on-board forklift scanning and WMS – meat products handling and products batching an advantage
• Basic understanding of cold-chain, food safety and hygiene requirements
• A strong focus and commitment to Health & Safety at all times
• A current OSH forklift licence
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy with good written and arithmetic literacy.
• Be familiar with and have a good basic computer literacy
• A reasonable level of fitness with the ability to lift to 20kg & stand for extended periods
• Is reliable, punctual and a positive influence within the warehouse team and ZIWI
