Job summary

Napier Port in Napier, Hawke’s Bay is hiring a Forklift Driver to join the Warehousing team. You will operate forklifts, load/unload cargo, support trucks, and keep accurate records while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires a Class 1 licence with F endorsement and an OSH certificate; a Class 5 licence is advantageous. Eligibility to work in NZ is required. Applications close 26 August 2026.

Napier Port, located in Napier, Hawke’s Bay, is New Zealand’s fourth-largest port, providing a range of marine, handling, and logistical services. Our Warehousing Operations Team plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence.

We have an opportunity for a Forklift Driver to join the Warehousing team.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor Warehousing, day-to-day, you’ll be busy working on:

• Safely operating forklifts and other materials‑handling equipment within the port and warehousing environment
• Loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of cargo, and palletised freight
• Supporting truck operations to ensure efficient cargo flow
• Completing pre‑start checks and basic equipment care, reporting faults promptly
• Accurately recording movements and completing required documentation and system entries
• Working collaboratively with, logistics, and warehousing teams to meet operational deadlines
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping at all times.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A great attitude
• A full Class 1 drivers’ licence with F endorsement
• Current OSH certificate
• A class 5 driver licence would be advantageous
