Job summary

NZ Labour Hire Group is seeking a skilled Class 4 Driver/Forklift Operator for a well-established manufacturing business in Dunedin. This full-time role combines driving with warehouse operations to support logistics and distribution, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods for client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will hold a NZ Class 4 licence with a clean record, F Endorsement and OSH certificate, and proven experience as a driver and forklift operator.

Qualifications

• Valid New Zealand Class 4 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• Current F Endorsement and OSH certificate.
• Proven experience working as a driver and forklift operator.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks regularly.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug-test and Ministry of Justice check.

Responsibilities

• Operating Class 2 and Class 4 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any maintenance issues.
• Operate forklifts to load, unload and move materials within the warehouse and distribution centre.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups and warehouse movements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding any issues or delays.
• Manual handling and lifting as required.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as required.

This is a full-time position that combines driving responsibilities with warehouse operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the logistics and distribution operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods to meet our clients' demands. Your expertise in both driving and forklift operation will be essential to maintaining the high standards of service that our customers expect from us.
