Job summary

Parceline Express in Auckland is seeking a Forklift Operator to join a tight crew led by a Distribution Manager. You will unload/load vehicles to ensure timely turnaround of road linehaul and may occasionally de-consolidate, sort, and consolidate freight into correct containers.

The role requires a current forklift licence, physical fitness, and the ability to pass pre-employment checks. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa is required. Working hours are 2pm–11pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

As an integral part of the Freightways infrastructure, Parceline Express operates Freightways linehaul on all the arterial roads in New Zealand. A vital connector, Parceline Express’ big trucks provide the Freightways brand family with a dedicated daily multi-link to main airports and links between our main centres and the provinces. The Parceline Express network is comprised ofindependent contractors who operate over the major arterial routes across New Zealand. Our linehaul network links with Parcelair’s air network to provide the entire Freightways group with a dedicated national freight network.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work with a tight crew, led by a Distribution Manager. Key responsibilities for this role to unload / load vehicles to ensure timely turnaround of road linehaul, and occasionally efficiently de-consolidate, sort, and consolidate freight into correct containers

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Ability to follow instructions well and be a team player.
• Follow OSH standards and implement procedures where necessary.
• Promote and adhere to PARCELINE EXPRESS philosophy of safe, efficient on time arrivals and departures

This is a full-time position from2pm-11pm, Monday to Friday.
