Job summary

Reliance Recruitment Christchurch is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join a small warehouse team. This hands-on role involves loading and unloading containers and moving large infrastructure products, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

You'll work Monday to Friday with flexible start times (7:30am or 8:00am). A current OSH Certificate with F Endorsement, or OSH with a full driver''s licence and the ability to obtain F Endorsement, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current OSH Certificate required.
• F Endorsement (or OSH with full driver''s licence) and ability to obtain F Endorsement.
• Recent forklift operating experience.
• Good physical fitness for manual lifting.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers.
• Operate forklift to move large and bulky infrastructure products.
• Pick and pack customer orders.
• Wrap, strap and prepare freight for dispatch.
• Perform basic data entry into computer systems.
• Carry out general warehouse duties to support the team.

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Forklift Operator to join their small, warehouse team.

This is a hands‑on position where you'll play an important role in keeping the warehouse running smoothly while working with large infrastructure products.

What You'll Be Doing

This isn't a role where you'll spend all day sitting on a forklift. You'll be involved in all areas of the warehouse, including:

• Loading and unloading containers
• Operating a forklift to move large and bulky infrastructure products
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Wrapping, strapping and preparing freight for dispatch
• Basic computer data entry
• General warehouse duties to support the team

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• A current OSH Certificate and F Endorsement (or an OSH Certificate with a full driver's licence and the ability to obtain your F Endorsement)
• Recent forklift operating experience
• Confidence handling oversized or awkward loads safely
• Good physical fitness, as manual lifting is part of the role
• Basic computer skills
