Job summary

Higgins in Hamilton is seeking an experienced Foreperson to lead the Sealing team on chipseal surfacing projects. You will plan and coordinate activities, supervise binder spraying, chip spreading and rolling, and manage labour, plant, subcontractors and materials to keep work on programme and on safety standards.

With at least five years in road surfacing and a STMS qualification or traffic management experience, you’ll provide clear direction on site and mentor crew members while maintaining

Qualifications

• At least five years of road surfacing experience, including leading crews on site.
• Strong knowledge of chipseal operations: binder spraying, chip spreading and rolling.
• Class 1 driver’s licence with WTR endorsements or ability to obtain them.
• STMS qualification or experience working closely with traffic management operations.
• Bitumen or chipseal training is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and adaptability on changing site conditions.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Higgins team in Hamilton is looking for an experienced Foreperson to join our Sealing team.

Lead the day-to-day delivery of chipseal surfacing works, coordinating crews, plant, materials and traffic management to keep each job safe, well organised and on programme. You’ll use your practical surfacing knowledge to respond to changing site conditions, maintain quality standards and give your crew clear direction on site.

About You:

• At least five years' experience in road surfacing, including leading crews on site
