Job summary

Higgins is looking for an experienced Foreperson to lead daily site operations on civil and roading projects in Wellington. Whether you’re in a Foreperson role or stepping up from Leading Hand, this is a great opportunity to grow your career with Higgins.

You will supervise crews, plan daily activities, run safety checks, read plans, manage QA and documentation, and build strong relationships with clients and suppliers while ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years civil/roading experience with leadership exposure.
• Ability to read plans and understand specifications.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, pavement construction, drainage, or general civil works.
• Good communication and proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
• WTR and Class 1–4 licences (essential).
• First Aid (essential), STMS (desirable).
• Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources.
