Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead their FMCG manufacturing facility in Queenstown. You will oversee production, supply chain, quality control, and maintenance to drive efficiency, profitability, and safe operations.

This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, strong background in Lean and Six Sigma, and the ability to manage a diverse team while implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management in FMCG manufacturing.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale facilities and diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Manage and lead the operations team across production, warehouse, and quality control.
• Oversee production processes ensuring efficiency, waste reduction, and schedules adherence.
• Implement and maintain quality management systems and safety protocols.
• Manage the supply chain including procurement, inventory, and logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
