Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our distribution network in Queenstown. You will coordinate transportation, oversee warehouse operations, and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries for a fast-moving consumer goods client.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in logistics coordination, strong knowledge of TMS and warehouse processes, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in logistics coordination or supply chain operations, preferably FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations including shipment scheduling and route planning.
• Manage carrier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective transport.
• Monitor warehouse inventory and coordinate stock movements.
• Liaise with warehouse staff, drivers, and 3PL providers.
• Track shipments and provide delivery status updates.
• Resolve logistics issues with corrective actions.
• Maintain records of shipments, inventory, and transport costs.
• Assist in developing logistics process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance and efficiency metrics.
