Placements24 seeks a National Logistics Coordinator for a prominent FMCG client. The hybrid role blends remote coordination with essential in-office collaboration at Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA.

You will oversee national transportation, track shipments, manage carrier relationships, and support inventory planning to optimize costs and delivery times. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Logistics or related field, 2–4 years in logistics coordination, and proficiency with Excel

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience in managing transportation schedules and coordinating shipments.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule national and regional transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Track shipments from origin to destination, providing real-time updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in demand forecasting activities.
• Optimize delivery routes and transportation methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Identify and resolve logistical issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with warehousing and sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
