Job summary

About the Role: Are you ready to take the lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? We’re looking for a full-time permanent Fleet Team Leader to join our NZ Rentals team, based in Auckland. This is your chance to make a real impact by driving performance, productivity, and efficiency in vehicle movement, ensuring our fleet is always in the right place at the right time.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead day-to-day fleet operations, ensuring smooth workflows and minimal delays for customers.
• Manage vehicle logistics, compliance renewals, and repairs to maintain operational excellence.
• Maintain and update fleet reports, assignments, and compliance workflows.
• Attend fleet and scheduling meetings to optimize vehicle positioning and repair focus.
• Implement strategies to enhance customer and crew satisfaction.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
• Assist with training new team members and support Front of House when needed.
• Champion health and safety practices, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
• Must be available to work weekends and public holidays.
• The roster will be 4 days per week, with 10-hour shifts.

Experience:

• Proven leadership in fleet, logistics, or transportation, with expertise in vehicle movement, scheduling, and compliance.
• Skills: Strong communication, time management, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. Attention to detail and adaptability are a must.
