Job summary

The Cathedral Grammar School Pre-School Canterbury is seeking a committed certificated teacher for a fixed-term role from 25 January to 8 October 2027. You will join an experienced team of six, teaching up to 40 children daily and supporting our youngest learners.

Requirements include a current Teaching Council NZ practising certificate (full or provisional), strong communication with ESOL families, and a willingness to collaborate with external providers. A valid driver’s licence is essential.

We are looking for a committed certificated teacher to join our pre-school team on a fixed-term basis while one of our team takes a teaching secondment in our junior school.
