Job summary

Morningside School is seeking a thoughtful kaiako for a 0.6 FTTE fixed-term position to cover staff leave for the 2027 school year.

The role may include teaching in our Hive learning space, releasing teachers for classes, or sharing responsibility for a class through a job-share arrangement. We value culturally sustaining practice and partnerships with whānau, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and trauma-informed approaches to learning.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised teaching certificate.
• Experience teaching in primary or intermediate settings preferred.
• Commitment to culturally sustaining practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

• Teach in Hive learning spaces or release classes as needed.
• Provide release coverage in classrooms to support teachers.
• Share workload through job-sharing arrangements when appropriate.
