The role offers day shift work with on‑the‑job training on CAM software and CAD skills, focusing on productivity and quality. Starting pay typically $30–$32 per hour, with premium rates after 48 hours when demanded.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with CNC in modern manufacturing environments (mass timber or similar).
• Familiarity with CAM processes and CAD skills is beneficial.
• NZQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and systematic approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Sequence machining paths, tool selections and processing speeds.
• Control machine operation during production.
• Manage tools and assist with tool maintenance.
• Oversee CNC housekeeping and waste management.
• Support troubleshooting and CNC maintenance with Engineering Services.
• Drive productivity and throughput across all CNCs.
