Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years MIG welding experience.
• Experience in heavy fabrication or heavy vehicle welding preferred.
• Multi-position welding experience is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competent in using fabrication workshop tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable, motivated, and able to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and assemble heavy transport equipment.
• Perform high-quality MIG welding on structural steel components.
• Carry out production welding and repair welding tasks.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate workshop tools, machinery and fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect completed work to ensure high quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with production and workshop teams.
• Complete assigned work within required timeframes.
