Job summary

Giltrap Group, New Zealand's leading automotive group, is seeking a Financial Accountant to support month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. You’ll manage payroll for multiple sites and assist with compliance, audits, stock control, and broader accounting tasks on site.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a financial accountant role, comfort handling queries from managers, and ideally some automotive exposure.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a financial accountant role
• Experience with month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Basic understanding of payroll (training provided)
• Confidence dealing with queries from department managers
• Prior automotive industry experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with month-end reporting and non-financial data
• Own the Balance Sheet Reconciliation process and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Payroll for Audi/Cupra/GMSV/Zeekr sites (approx. 80 employees)
• Assist with compliance and filing (Stats NZ, IRD, External) year-end audits, stock management etc.
• Support the wider Accounting and Management team on site
• Take on other duties as required by the Financial Controller
