Giltrap Group, New Zealand's leading automotive group, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team in Auckland. You will manage month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations, maintain the Fixed Asset Register, and oversee payroll for major sites.

You will also assist with compliance and filing, year-end audits, stock control, and support the broader accounting team on site. Training and development opportunities are provided as part of our commitment to career growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a financial accountant role.
• Experience with month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Basic understanding of payroll; willing to train the right person.
• Confidence dealing with queries from department managers.
• Prior experience in automotive industry is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Prepare month-end reporting and assist with non-financial data.
• Own the balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Payroll for Audi/Cupra/GMSV/Zeekr sites (approximately 80 employees).
• Assist with compliance and filing (Stats NZ, IRD, external), year-end audits and stock management.
• Support the wider Accounting and Management team on site.
• Handle other duties assigned by the Financial Controller.

Join Giltrap Group as a Financial Accountant!

As a Financial Accountant, Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and assistance with month-end reporting and non-financial data
• Ownership of the Balance Sheet Reconciliation process and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Payroll for Audi/Cupra/GMSV/Zeekr sites (approx. 80 employees)
• Assisting with compliance and filing (Stats NZ, IRD, External) year-end audits, stock management etc.
• Support the wider Accounting and Management team on site
• Other duties required by the Financial Controller (will provide full position description for further details)

About You

Our ideal candidate is someone with:

• 3 – 5 Years experience in a financial accountant role
• Experience with month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
• A basic understanding of payroll (we’re happy to train the right person to help get them up to speed!)
• Confidence dealing with queries from department managers
• Prior experience in automotive industry an advantage
