Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant in Finance Functional Transformation in Auckland. You’ll join a global advisory team delivering finance change programs, optimizing Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and reporting processes.

The role emphasizes analytic insight, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with clients across industries. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment focused on modern finance operating models, automation, and technology-enabled finance transformations.

Qualifications

• Solid track record in Finance process optimization (O2C, P2P, R2R, FP&A) with finance transformation focus.
• Experience with operating model transformations, outsourcing or shared services.
• Ability to design and implement improved reporting and planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance change initiatives for private and public sector clients.

Our projects also include advising CFOs on how to optimize their management information, improve financial planning and analysis, develop new operating models and implement better processes and technologies. This role is based in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office.

• Focus on finance change, helping the leadership of private and public sector organisations to assess and improve their Finance function.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams, provide insights and recommendations on people, processes, and systems, and work with clients to deliver improvements.
• Deepen your subject matter expertise as part of a global network of Finance and Performance Management advisory professionals.

To qualify for the role you must have:

• A solid track record in (Digital) Finance and Finance process optimization (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, FP&A), with the ambition to deepen your expertise in Finance transformation and digital enablers
• Finance operating model transformation including transition to outsourcing, shared services, and/or automation.
• Finance organisation design and capability definition.
• Improvement of Finance transactional processes and systems.
• Design and implementation of improved reporting including KPI definition.
• Design and implementation of improved planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with a focus on financial planning and budgeting methodologies.
• Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (or other EPM solutions) and experience with ERP/Technology programmes.
• Leveraging performance management and business intelligence tools including SAC, PowerBI, Anaplan.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Project and change management.
• Business process transformation via structured problem solving.
• Data analysis and interpretation.
• Generating valuable insights and delivering change for your internal/external clients.
