We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team during an exciting period of business integration and change on a full-time fixed term basis for 6 months. This role can be based in either our Feilding or Rotorua Office; however we are also open to a hybrid or remote arrangement.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller to play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day financial operations while helping the business navigate the integration of systems and processes following a recent merger.

Working closely with senior finance leaders, you'll provide additional capacity across the finance function, ensuring critical business activities continue to run smoothly while key team members focus on strategic integration initiatives.

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will:

• Provide hands‑on support across a range of finance activities and business priorities.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of the organisation's budget process.
• Support audit preparation and key year‑end activities.
• Help maintain business‑as‑usual finance operations during a period of change.
• Work collaboratively across the finance team to identify and address emerging needs.
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and business requirements.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or in a similar senior finance leadership role.
• Is comfortable working in complex and evolving environments.
• Can quickly build relationships and establish credibility with stakeholders.
• Enjoys solving problems and working through ambiguity.
• Has excellent financial management, budgeting, and reporting experience.
• Brings a practical, hands‑on approach and is happy to support wherever needed.
• Experience in the forestry sector would be highly regarded but is not essential.
